We are looking for an experienced HR Manager who will take ownership of the people agenda and act as a trusted partner to the General Manager and the leadership team.
Position Description
The HR Manager will establish and lead the local HR and people agenda, align Slovenian HR practices with the international group standards, and help the business combine its entrepreneurial strengths with appropriate governance and sustainable people practices.
The role combines strategic business partnering with hands-on delivery. Working closely with the General Manager and leadership team, as well as regional and Group HR and People colleagues, the HR Manager will provide a trusted local people capability that supports managers and employees, strengthens compliance and enables sustainable business performance – building employee engagement, leadership capability and strong people practices while supporting a successful integration.
Key Priorities for The Role
- Build the people foundations – establish a trusted, accessible and effective local people capability, with robust policies, processes, systems and controls.
- Partner the business – act as a trusted strategic and operational HR and people partner to the GM and leadership team.
- Enable a successful integration of the group values, while preserving the strengths of the local entrepreneurial culture.
- Ensure compliance and consistency – ensure employment practices meet Slovenian legal requirements and appropriate group standards.
- Build organisation and capability for the future – shape the organisation, workforce and talent capabilities required for sustainable growth.
- Strengthen employee engagement and experience – establish effective employee listening, turn insights into action and help build a compelling employee value proposition.

Required Competencies
HR expertise and employment compliance:
- Strong working knowledge of Slovenian employment legislation and local employment practices.
- Experience managing complex employee relations and employment compliance matters.
Business partnering, influence and judgement:
- Experience advising, influencing and constructively challenging senior leaders.
- Business-focused, with sound professional judgement and a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
- Ability to operate independently, prioritise effectively and stay pragmatic in a changing environment.
Change, integration and building capability:
- Demonstrated ability to build, improve and embed practical HR policies, processes and ways of working in an evolving business (and collaborate with external HR agency).
- Experience working within a group or international business and building effective relationships with regional and global stakeholders.
- Experience leading change or HR projects using a structured change / project-management approach.
Communication and stakeholder management:
- Strong communication, relationship-building and influencing skills.
- High personal integrity, discretion and commitment to confidentiality.
Candidate Profile
Education:
- A completed university degree (VII/1) in human resource management, psychology, law, business/economics or a related field.
Language and IT Skills:
- Fluent Slovenian and strong professional English.
- Confident use of standard office tools; working knowledge of an HRIS / HR system and HR reporting tools.
Work Experience and Desired Knowledge:
- 5–10 years of strong generalist HR experience across both strategic and operational responsibilities.
A valid category B driving licence, given regular travel across Slovenian locations.
The employment will be as a full-time job for an unlimited period, with a 6-months probation period.
